There is a disturbing trend among Internet Service Providers (ISPs) of hanging up on users aftere a short period of inactivity. Setting up your e-mail to check every 9-12 minutes used to help, but now the servers seem to be ignoring POP (mail server) hits and only considering FTP and HTTP traffic. A solution was found in JavaScript, and Yahoo's random link, which allows a different page to load at user defined intervals. I built this page for myself, after switching to a provider whose service is better than my previous provider in every way except for timed access. Since I'm not alone in this annoyance, I offer this as a solution. Please bookmark this site and send it anyone who might benefit from it.
